Take a look at this before and after slide - the object of the slide is to compare two figures over time.

BEFORE:
This slide is typical of many presentations - generic heading and lots of data in a table (the data compares 2 figures over time). It's difficult to know what the message of the slide is.		 AFTER:
We built the slide around the key message: that care plans are the better option in the long-run. We replaced the hard-to-fathom table with a column chart, and by using a series of animations we could show visually the increase and decrease of each option for easy comparison (shown here are the first and last builds in this series).
